An award has been instituted from 1996 onwards for the best research article published in each volume of the Journal of Spices and Aromatic Crops. The award has been instituted by Dr. J. S. Pruthi and carries a citation and a cash award of Rs. 1000/-. The award would be presented at the yearly meetings of the Indian Society for Spices..
